Monologist Deborah Jean-Baptiste Samuel made this inspiring statement today to student attendees at a Creative Writing Workshop, held by the National Secretariat for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting 2009 and the Royal Commonwealth Society (RCS) at the International Financial Centre, Port of Spain.

Top student essay writers participate in creative writing workshop
The Royal Commonwealth Society (RCS) and the National Secretariat for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting 2009 today invited twenty (20) students to participate in two Creative Writing Workshops, held at the International Financial Centre, Port of Spain.
The students submitted top entries to the 2009 Trinidad & Tobago Commonwealth Essay Competition, and wrote on the theme ‘What Trinidad and Tobago Can Teach the World.’

Youth delegates attending the second day of the Commonwealth Youth Forum 7 (CYF7) on the Caribbean island of Tobago on Sunday were again encouraged to make their voices heard by getting involved in advocacy, demanding transparency and participating in the democratic process.
